Terms of use
These Terms govern your use of the DocPin mobile application, the website at docpin.que-x.com, and related DocPin API services (together, the “Service”). By installing or using DocPin, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
DocPin is an Android PDF reader that lets you highlight, take notes, bookmark pages, and link notes to pages or highlights. Core reading and annotation features work offline. Optional Pro features (such as cloud sync of annotations) require a verified account and an active Google Play subscription where offered.
2. Your content and PDFs
- You retain rights to the PDF files and notes you create.
- You are responsible for having the right to import and store any PDF you open in DocPin.
- We do not claim ownership of your documents or annotations.
- In the current product, Pro sync transfers annotation data associated with a file hash — not a full cloud backup of every PDF byte.
3. Accounts
You may use DocPin as a guest. If you create an account (email or Google), you must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. You can delete your DocPin cloud account in Settings. Account deletion removes server-side account and synced annotation data as described in the Privacy policy. Deleting a DocPin account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in the Google Play Store.
4. Subscriptions and Free limits
Free use may include limits (for example on highlights, notes, or links) as shown in the App. Pro subscriptions are billed by Google Play under Google’s payment terms. Prices and trials are shown in the Play purchase flow and may vary by region. We may change Free limits or Pro features with reasonable notice in the App or store listing.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, disrupt, or overload the Service
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems
- Use the Service to violate law or others’ rights
- Reverse engineer the App except where allowed by law
6. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. PDF rendering and text selection depend on file structure; some documents may not highlight or search perfectly.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, que-x and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD 50, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse or material breach. You may stop using DocPin at any time and delete your account as described above.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to que-x’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country apply.
